There has been so much new music lately but it seems like its getting harder to get through the mediocre to the good, and the great seems fewer and further between. Maybe I'm just being pessimistic. There's still a lot worth sharing, there's just less that I find myself fareaking out about. The last thing I really wanted to scream about was probably Kings of Leon's Because Of The Times. Until it happens again, here are a few favorites from the albums I've been listening to lately.

Irresistible, and not just because of the Clash sample.

Best fake oldies since Miss Winehouse.

mp3: Architecture in Helsinki - Debbie
I pretend this is for Rachel Dratch.

mp3: The Brunettes - Stereo (Mono Mono)
A little babyish voice pops up in here that really gets me.

mp3: Stars - Take Me To The Riot
Torq's voice is bolder these days and this chorus is catchy as hell.

mp3: Dúné - John Wayne Vs. Mary Chain
Why isn't the MTV crowd eating this up yet? Can't help myself.
