Remixtape Tuesday

It's CONTEST TIME! Recently, Walter Meego shared with us their Make It High Mixtape. Allow me to critique: It's genius really! A perfect blend of hip-hop, dance, old tunes & new tunes. The kind of mix that reminds you that people who don't appreciate all music types totally suck. You've never heard a transition like N.E.R.D. into Cut Copy. It is just good beat-plain and simple. I haven't listened to a compilation this much since Erlend Oye's DJ-Kicks... and I was obsessed with that, ask Jo.

Can you even handle this tracklist:

Gorillaz - Dirty Harry
The Plantlife - We Can Get High
J. Todd - In The Twilight (Salva Remix)
Mouse On Mars - Wipe That Sound
Wagon Christ - The Funnies
The Bar-Kays - Holy Ghost
Mr. Scruff - Spandex Man
Lyrics Born - Do That There (Young Einstein's Hoo-Hoo Remix)
Pepe Deluxe - Girl!
The Herbaliser - Gadget Funk
Roy Ayers - Chicago
Steely Dan - Peg
N.E.R.D. - Things Are Getting Better
Cut Copy - Saturdays
Manic Street Preachers - So Why So Sad? (The Avalanches Remix)
Walter Meego - Usually
Basement Jaxx - Oh My Gosh (Bugz In The Attic Remix)
Phoenix - If I Ever Feel Better (Todd Edwards Dub Better Mix)
Roy Davis Jr. - Rock Shock (Thomas Bangalter's Stop-Start Mix)
Michael Jackson - P.Y.T.
Jamie Lidell - When I Come Back Around
Mr. Oizo - Flatbeat vs. The B-52's - Love Shack
Simian Mobile Disco - The Count
Chok Rock - Make It High
The Avalanches - Since I Left You (Cornelius Remix)
The KLF - Elvis On The Radio, Steel Guitar In My Soul
The Sleepy Jackson - Good Dancers

Now, you can get yourself this mix for practically nothing. They are giving them for free with certain single orders on their website. We are talking mere dollars (berries if you will, and I think you will). BUT, they gave us an extra copy so we are gettin' crazy and giving one away. We here at more than milk are done with the snow and ready for Spring and a good Springtimey mix. Shoot us an e-mail at morethanmilk@gmail.com and let us know what one song you would put that mix (and feel free to attach the song). You've got until Wednesday at noon and then we will choose our favorite. Do it. It's so worth it.

On to the music... Here are two songs featured on this 27 track goldmine. "Usually" by Walter Meego and a little tune involving a serious thump and some lyrics you're bound to sing along to.

mp3: Usually - Walter Meego
mp3: Mr. Oizo - Flatbeat Vs. The B-52's - Love Shack
